Habitat for Humanity

Sign up for the upcoming builds. You must register in advance to receive information about the builds via email.

Help build homes for low-income families in the Baton Rouge area. Volunteer times are from 7:30 am-3:00 pm.

PLEASE Make sure you read the protocols & emails, etc. before showing up for your build. More information on their Instagram.

Wear closed-toed shoes & clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

Even if some tabs say, “This page has expired” go to the next tab and pick which opportunity fits for you!

Volunteer tasks can include exercising dogs, general cleaning, taking photos of our adoptable dogs, and other needed help. Members sign up individually by calling (225) 239 - 7368

You must go to an orientation prior to first volunteering!

Once completing this, you then create an account on the volunteer portal through the same website.

Some of their volunteer opportunities include Walking/bathing dogs, Socializing cats, Date-A-Dog, Cleaning around the shelter (windows, laundry, dusting, and dishes), Help with enrichment, Offsite events, Adoption events, and Working in the retail store.
