Habitat for Humanity 

• Sign up for the upcoming builds. You must register in advance to receive information about the builds via email. 

• Help build homes for low-income families in the Baton Rouge area. Volunteer times are from 7:30 am-3:00 pm. 

• PLEASE Make sure you read the protocols & emails, etc. before showing up for your build. More information on their Instagram.

  • Wear closed-toed shoes & clothes you don't mind getting dirty.​

 

St. Vincent de Paul

• Sign up for a shift online at https://svdpbr.org/volunteer individually. You must register in advance online.

• Once on their website, scroll until you get to Volunteer Opportunities and click the Click Here to View and Sign Up tab.

• You then will be brought to a SignUpGenuis page with many different tabs

  • Even if some tabs say, “This page has expired” go to the next tab and pick which opportunity fits for you!

  • There you will see a calendar of time slots for volunteers to sign up for! 

• PLEASE Make sure you read the protocols, etc. before showing up for your shift. For some service events, there is a specific dress code to abide by!

Friends of the Animals Baton Rouge

• Volunteer tasks can include exercising dogs, general cleaning, taking photos of our adoptable dogs, and other needed help. Members sign up individually by calling (225) 239 - 7368

• Available Monday-Friday anytime between 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Companion Animal Alliance of Baton Rouge

• You must go to an orientation prior to first volunteering!

• Sign up individually online at https://www.caabr.org/volunteer through the event calendar.

  • Once completing this, you then create an account on the volunteer portal through the same website. 

• Contact volunteers@caabr.org with questions and concerns

• Some of their volunteer opportunities include Walking/bathing dogs, Socializing cats, Date-A-Dog, Cleaning around the shelter (windows, laundry, dusting, and dishes), Help with enrichment, Offsite events, Adoption events, and Working in the retail store.
